The Lord’s Day, September 5
Dear Fourth Church,
I never tire of singing this morning’s Hymn of Thanks, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, with its third stanza that enumerates the rich blessings won for us by Christ:
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
May the Lord lift every heart this Lord’s Day and help us to abound in hope (Romans 15:13).
