The Children’s Ministry of Fourth Presbyterian Church is committed to coming alongside families to provide a loving, nurturing atmosphere for children as they learn to know, love, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Ministry Purpose

• Model Christ and his kingdom in all that we do and say
• Love and care for the children who attend our church
• Come alongside parents as support
• Provide opportunities for the children to serve others


Current Children’s Activities

Family Advent in a Box Drive-Through Event

There are two options for pick-up: Tuesday, December 1, 4:00-5:00 p.m. or Saturday, December 5, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Family “Advent in a Box” includes an Advent family devotional and calendar, an Advent wreath (available with advance purchase), Christmas crafts, prepackaged cookies and hot chocolate! Registration for the event is free. However, if you wish to purchase an Advent wreath, there is a $35.00 fee. Purchase of the Advent wreath includes a twelve inch wreath, a metal candle holder ring, four Advent tapers, and a single six inch scentless pillar Christ candle.

Children’s Church

Sundays during the 9:30 a.m. outdoor service for children age 4 through 3rd grade
Children’s church will include Scripture memory, catechism review, and Bible lessons from the Gospel Project curriculum.
Children will need to wear facial coverings, which can be removed while they are seated in chairs. Visit Fourth’s reservations page for info on the Sunday Worship schedule, with outdoor and indoor services.

Preschool Story Time

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., outdoors, at the church
Preschool children can listen to a Bible story, sing songs together, and make a craft.
Parents, caregivers, and children will need to wear facial coverings, which can be removed while they are physically distanced and/or seated.

4th and 5th Grade Bible Study

Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., outdoors, at the church and at a host home
The 4th and 5th Grade Bible Study will include games and activities, skits, Scripture memory, and a Bible lesson.
4th & 5th graders should arrive wearing facial coverings, which can be removed while they are physically distanced and/or seated.

Online Sunday School Lessons

Sent weekly via email
The lessons include a Bible story video, activity sheets, and reinforcement questions for parents. The lessons will follow the Gospel Project curriculum, the same lessons that will be taught in Children’s Church.
