The Special Blessings ministry serves children, teens, and adults with special needs, along with their families. We purposefully integrate these boys, girls, men, and women into our congregation and remind them how they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Consider joining us at any of these program opportunities.

Children

Partnering with the Children’s ministry, the Special Blessings ministry provides support and consultation as needed in Sunday School classrooms and activities, affording parents peace of mind, knowing that their child is being included, accommodated, and loved.

Seekers: Children’s Sunday School Class

  • A Sunday school class specially designed for children in kindergarten through sixth grade who benefit from individual attention. This class provides Biblical instruction using developmentally appropriate teaching methods and materials in a sensory rich environment, presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children with special needs.

Discoverers: Children’s Sunday School Class

  • A Sunday school class for children in kindergarten through sixth grade with moderate needs but who benefit from a classroom setting. This class provides a Bible lesson with occasional role playing  and choirchimes!® instruction for participation in Sunday morning worship.

Teens and Adults

Partnering with the Youth and Adult ministries, the Special Blessings ministry provides support for teens and adults with special needs so that they can participate in Sunday School classrooms, youth camps, retreats, and church events.

Explorers: Teen/Adult Sunday School and Choirchimes!® Choir

  • The Special Blessings teen/adult Sunday school class provides individualized, interactive Biblical instruction and opportunities for socialization with one another and youth volunteers. Part of the class time is devoted to choirchimes!® choir practice, specially adapted for all to enjoy, regardless of musical ability. The class periodically shares this gift of music with the congregation as a whole during worship services.

Fourth Night: Teen/Adult Praise Music and Movement Program

  • This Special Blessings program is a class dedicated to fellowship, praise, worship and movement.
  • Wednesdays during Fourth Night, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

  • The Teen/Adult Program is a part of Fourth Night, to which the whole family is invited. Fourth Night is our Wednesday night program that brings the whole church body together to deepen our fellowship and grow in our faith. The evening begins with a meal (5:45-6:45 p.m.), followed by prayer and a choice of classes, activities and volunteer opportunities for all ages (7:00-8:00 p.m.).
