The Special Blessings ministry serves people with special needs from toddlers to adults and their families. Our goal is to welcome all members of Christ’s church with open arms, and to offer opportunities for learning, fellowship, and service that suit their gifts and abilities.


Sunday School

January 15–May 14 | 9:30–10:45 a.m.

The Special Blessings Sunday School class is currently using the interactive “SeeJesus Bethesda” Bible study series. With Unit 5: The Passion”, we discuss how Jesus demonstrated his love for us on his journey to the cross, and how that impacts our faith and daily lives. During our Sunday School hour, participants also have Chime Choir practice. No Sunday School Class April 9.

Sunday Fellowship Brunch

We invite our families to join us for occasional fellowship brunches during the Sunday School hour in our regular classroom. Future dates TBA.

Parent Groups (Online)

Our Moms and Dads groups meet online to provide mutual support, prayer, and encouragement for moms and dads of any age children who have special needs. The groups are now reading and discussing “Parenting and Disabilities: Abiding in God’s Presence” by Stephanie O. Hubach. All are welcome – including newcomers!

  • Moms’ Group | Fridays, January 20, February 17, March 17, April 14, June 9 | 7:00–9:00 p.m. (no May online meeting)
  • Dads’ Group | Second Saturday of each month | January 21, February 11, March 18, April 8, May 13, June 10 | 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Young Adults Fellowship (Online)

Tuesdays, January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 13 | 4:30–5:30 p.m.
This virtual fellowship provides a great opportunity for young men and women (ages 21+) to gather and build friendships through fun conversation, music, and games.

Service Projects

Our Special Blessings families gather to participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year, including volunteering at the Mission DMV monthly Drive-Through Food Drive & Collection. Future dates TBA.
