The Lord’s Day, August 29

Dear Fourth Church,

In this morning’s Prayer of Confession, we will acknowledge the weight of our sins against God and the wonder that, through Christ’s perfect sacrifice on the cross, they will not stand against us — gospel truth that at once reminds us of our humble estate and gives us great cause to rejoice. In its closing lines, the prayer looks forward, asking the Lord to “deliver us from every interest of former sins … [from] everything that dims the brightness of [his] grace in us…” Amen, let it be so!

We hope you can make it this evening at 6:00 p.m. for a Hymn Sing led by Sandra McCracken and her husband, Tim Nicholson.

As always, if you are unable to attend services today, the 9:30 service is available by livestream. You can view the livestream or dial 855-217-0187 to listen by phone. Both methods are available in real time or later on demand.
