“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”
—Romans 12:2
Come and Study With Us
The goal of Adult Discipleship at Fourth Church is to equip the saints with the resources needed for Christian maturity, in order that they "may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God" (Colossians 4:12). Toward this end, we offer an array of classes designed to deepen our love for God's word and for the system of doctrine it contains.

Song of Songs
Taught by Rev. Jules Grisham
Upper Room
Of the 1,005 songs Solomon composed, the Song of Songs is the greatest of them all. We will work through a book of poetry filled with vivid, technicolor sights and sounds of nature in bloom, echoing the Garden of Eden and giving us glimmers of heaven. The Song of Songs is a picture of paradise regained in the context of marital love, and the whole of it is but a grand analogy of Christ’s love for his bride, the church. Join us for a meditation on holy love and redeemed desire, “the very flame of the LORD.”
August 24 and 31
Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God
Taught by Dr. Isaiah Nengean
Upper Room
Salvation begins and ends with God. Naturally, we cannot in our powers or efforts choose faith in God. Rooted in eternity and realized in time in history, salvation is the work of God the Father, through Jesus Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit. Still, God commands us to share the gospel to all people. In one sense, God decides who comes to faith, yet God commands the proclamation of the gospel to all people. Is there any tension between the communication of the gospel and the sovereign character of God? We shall examine this issue in a two-part study.
