This class, continuing from the Fall 2024 semester, examines the symbols and themes of the book as it unfolds through a series of visions to the grand climax and consummation of the whole of Scripture. We’ll discuss various approaches for understanding the book at a granular level of detail, but we’ll also show how the overall theme of the book is as clear as it is exhilarating to contemplate and anticipate: Christ wins, and in him, Christ’s church wins as well! Though God’s people are subject to suffering, persecution, and pain in this present age, we will be vindicated, and we will see with our own eyes and inhabit with our resurrection bodies the new heavens and the new earth.
