Adult Class: Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God

This special two-week class, taught by Dr. Isaiah Nengean, meets in the Upper Room. Salvation begins and ends with God. Naturally, we cannot in our powers or efforts choose faith in God. Rooted in eternity and realized in time in history, salvation is the work of God the Father, through Jesus Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit. Still, God commands us to share the gospel to all people. In one sense, God decides who comes to faith, yet God commands the proclamation of the gospel to all people. Is there any tension between the communication of the gospel and the sovereign character of God? We shall examine this issue in a two-part study.
