Midweek Update: Sunday Services Survey Results
Dear Fourth Church Family,
As promised, today’s video includes the results of the Sunday Services Survey. Thank you to everyone, over 550 of you, who filled it out and provided some great feedback.
Please read on below for further info on each of the following:
- September 2: 5:30 p.m., Congregational Prayer
- September 6: Join us for worship. Reservations open each Wednesday morning for the Sunday to come.
- Beginning Sunday, September 13, 9:30 a.m., Children’s Church will resume.
- Beginning Sunday, September 13, evening worship will resume.
- Beginning Tuesday, September 15, 7:00 p.m., we will start a new program on the Doctrine of the Church, “Teaching on Tuesdays.”

Worship Services, Sunday, September 6
We extend a warm invitation to everyone in the community to join us for on-campus worship services! Please note that because of physical distancing, advance reservations are required for all three services.

- For now there is no childcare or on-site Sunday school, but online classes and activities are available for children, youth, and adults. All ages are welcome in Sunday worship services.
Evening Service Resumes
Sunday, September 13 | 6:00 p.m. | Sanctuary
Rev. Tommy Myrick will continue preaching through Job, a book that reveals the majesty of God’s goodness to frustrated believers living in trying times. Services will include the Lord’s Supper on days when the morning service does not. Reservations open Wednesday morning, September 9 (and each Wednesday thereafter for the Sunday ahead).

Drive-Through Food Drive
The neighborhood and church are invited to contribute to a food drive collected by Fourth Presbyterian Church Youth, in partnership with our Missions Local Outreach, which is distributing the food to our ministry partners: Clark Inn, a ministry of Samaritan Inns; the Rockville Women’s Center; the teen moms of YoungLives, a ministry of YoungLife; and, neighbors in the DMV.
Instructions
- Mark your contributions FOOD DRIVE and place them in the trunk of your vehicle
- Please wear a mask
- Drive to the covered entrance on the Ridgefield Road side of the church. Note that the church building is closed and the food drive is set up outside.
- Use the outer lane and remain in your car for safe social distancing
- You will see tables set up for sorting donations
- Release the trunk, and youth staff or volunteers wearing masks and gloves will unload your contribution.
- September only, we are also collecting specific school supplies.

Adult Sunday School

Community Groups

Children’s Church | Begins September 13 during the 9:30 a.m. outdoor service. Children age 4 through 3rd grade will be dismissed before the sermon and will be accompanied by their teachers to the Tent in the Upper Parking Lot.
Preschool Story Time | Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. at the Tent, Upper Parking Lot. Begins September 8.
Bible Studies for 4th and 5th Graders | Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m., at the church. Begins September 9.

GriefShare Support Group

New Opportunities to SERVE

Women’s Ministry

Circles focus on friendship, prayer, and mentoring as women explore God’s Word together in a neighborhood near you.
Women’s Fall Bible Studies | Registration is now open for six Bible studies meeting via Zoom, September through November. We will study Hosea: A 12-Week Study (Knowing the Bible), by Lydia Brownback. Young Adults
