The College Ministry seeks to connect with and equip college-age young adults to embrace the church and engage the world with the life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our college ministry enjoys the intergenerational fellowship and ministries of the entire church. We also invite participation in the opportunities below, which are specific to recent high school graduates.

Get Connected • Stay Connected

We communicate primarily via texts and GroupMe. To join, please contact Rob Henneberg, College Ministry Director.

Parents, you can sign up to receive our monthly parent email from Rob Henneberg with updates about events and activities for your college-age young adult by contacting Noel Bradley.

Summer Staff Internship Program

"Summer Staff" is our Youth Ministry's summer internship program open to college-age young adults. Each summer, Fourth hires college students to disciple our middle and high schoolers full-time. Visit the Summer Staff webpage for more information and to apply.

School Year Activities

In addition to attending a Sunday service, college students are invited to join other young adults at the Sunday morning Scripture Study class and are welcome to participate in other Young Adult Ministry events throughout the week. Visit the Young Adult webpage to learn more. Each January, a Winter Retreat offers a place for growing faith, deepening friendships, and meeting new people. College Director Rob Henneberg also welcomes opportunities for one-on-one mentoring and discipleship with young adults and parents, too.

Sunday Morning Scripture Study • 9:30–10:30 a.m., Upper Room (through December 10; resumes January 7)
This class examines what the Gospel of Luke tells us about Jesus and how his message enhances our understanding of God's kingdom. Tables are reserved at the back of the class for young adults. For details contact Rev. David Frerichs. A complete list of Sunday School classes can be found on the Adult Discipleship webpage.

Online Resources for Parents

College Life

We pray our college students will find three things while away:
• A church community that believes in the inerrant teachings of Scripture and in
Christ alone as the answer to our deepest longings, greatest joys, and eternal
salvation.
• A Christ-centered campus ministry, such as RUF, CRU, Intervarsity, YoungLife,
that has weekly Bible studies.
• A good group of Christian friends that help form fellowship, community, and a
sense of belonging.

Did you know ….

One of the strongest predictors of whether students who grew up in the church will
continue to walk with Christ is the number of mature Christian adults in their lives
throughout the high school, college, and post-college years.

What can I do?...

If you know a Christian college student, please check in with them about how they are doing, what challenges they are facing, whether they have found a church near their school, etc. Some students appreciate phone calls, but most would rather connect over a meal when they are home on a break or communicate via text message.

Families approaching the college years can create intentional connections with other
families from church so that there are already other mature believers involved in the lives
of your kids as they transition to college and beyond.

Fellows Program

Fourth Fellows is a nine-month leadership and discipleship program for recent college graduates. If you are currently a college junior, senior, or a recent college graduate, please visit our Fourth Fellows webpage to learn more, or contact Fellows Co-Director Alaina Conley.
