Sunday Gatherings, June 6

Dear Fourth Church,
Today we will sing the contemporary hymn, “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us”, by Stuart Townend*. His lyric expresses the wonder of Christ’s propitiating work on the cross like few other songs I know. Its three verses reflect on the incalculable weight of our sin borne by Christ and the completeness of his work to avert the Father’s just wrath.

Verse two:

Behold the Man upon a cross, my sin upon his shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held him there, until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finished.

What a privilege to lift our voices today as we recount the glory of God in the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior!

If you are unable to attend, please note that the 9:30 service is now the one that is livestreamed. You can view the livestream online or dial 855-217-0187 to listen by phone. Both methods are available in real time or later on demand.
