History & Hope: The Evangelical Presbyterian Church
October 9, 7 p.m., Upper Room
In lieu of the regular Fourth Night class next Wednesday,  Reformed Theological Seminary will present a special lecture discussing the EPC’s confession and character, history, and hopes for the future. Contact Jules Grisham at jgrisham@4thpres.org with questions.

Community Groups
Community groups offer a way to form meaningful relationships as groups meet during the fall and spring to study the Bible, pray for one another, and enjoy living the Christian life together. On the Community Group webpage you will find the group list and contact info below to find a group that meets in your neighborhood. Contact the group host to learn the meeting address and schedule. Alpha

The Alpha Course is designed to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions in a casual and friendly atmosphere. The eight-week course is hosted in private homes and includes food, fellowship, and a 25-minute film. For more information, please email Janie Randell at alpha@4thpres.org. Children’s Ministry

Volunteer Opportunity
There is an immediate need for additional volunteers during the 11 a.m. hour. Specifically, we need two helpers in Cherub Church (3.5 and 4 year olds) and one teacher in the 2.5- to 3-year-old class. Please contact Marce Bettridge if you are interested.

Yarns for Hope

Disability Ministry

Young Adults Fellowship
Mondays, October 21, November 18, December 16, 4:30–5:30 p.m., Online
This virtual fellowship provides a great opportunity for young men and women (ages 21+) to gather and build friendships through fun conversation, music, and games. Contact Tricia Han to join or for more information.

Parent Groups
Our parent support groups meet online to provide mutual support, prayer, and encouragement for moms and dads of any age children who have disabilities. All are welcome, including newcomers! To join a group, please contact Tricia Han.

Men’s Breakfast

Men of all ages are invited to gather to share praises, prayer needs, and fellowship over a hot breakfast with teaching from the Scriptures.  Reservations are not required.


Mission DMV

Rockville Women’s Center Prayer

The first Friday of each month, you can pray with the Rockville Women’s Center team. To join the prayer call, contact Janie Randell for information.

Drive-Through Collection & Food Drive
Saturday, October 12, 10 a.m.-noon
Bring contributions of food, diapers, clothing (socks, underwear, shoes, and boots), and household items in bags with handles. Donated items go to ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Romanian Christian Enterprises Banquet

Fall Hike

Women of the Word: Conference 
October 26, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Upper Room, $15
Enjoy fellowship, worship, and great teaching as we welcome Melynda Boyce, Director of Women’s Ministries and Community Life at Christ Church of Arlington, Virginia, for our first Women of the Word event. Melynda’s theme is “The Good Life–Colossians 3–Grounded in the Gospel, Shaped in Community, and Transformed by the Holy Spirit.” Breakfast and snacks are provided. Fall Retreat
