Children’s Ministry

Opportunities to Serve
This summer, helpers are needed in Children’s Sunday School classes (June 18-July 30, 8 weeks only), Children’s Church every Sunday at either the 8:00 or 11:00 a.m. worship services, and Vacation Bible School (July 10-14, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.), where there are a multitude of ways to serve.

Summer Kickoff Dinner

Sunday Fellowship Lunch

Come to a biweekly catered lunch beginning Sunday, June 4. This gathering provides food and fellowship and a time and to connect with one another; no RSVP needed.

YoungLives Summer Camp for Moms
July 13-18, Offsite
Provide childcare during the “Best Week of Their Lives” summer camp for teen moms. The cost for this local mission opportunity in Virginia is $636 for meals and lodging; scholarships are available. For more information contact SERVE@4thpres.org. Registration deadline is June 1.

“Serving As Senders” Summer Sunday School Class

Based on the book “Serving As Senders Today”, this class is designed to increase our understanding and awareness of why every Christian participates in the Great Commission and how our church can serve our mission field workers well.
Missions Prayer for the Unreached

Music Ministry
Summer Choir
Do you enjoy singing? Come lend your voice to the Summer Choir! On the first Sunday of the summer months (June 4, July 2, August 6), the choir gathers at 10:15 a.m. in the Choir Room to rehearse for the 11:00 a.m. service. We will sing well-known or easy-to-learn anthems and lead hymns during the service. This is a great opportunity if you are unable to make the commitment or to try out for the Sanctuary Choir. Newcomer Reception
All newcomers are invited to join us at our next reception on Sunday, June 4. Join us for an informal meet-and-greet with pastors, staff, and members in The Commons immediately following the 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. Children accompanied by their parents are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Women’s Ministry
Infertility Support Group

Are you experiencing infertility? Fourth’s Infertility Support Group is a safe place to gather with others who are walking this path. Join us for lunch, discussion, and prayer in Room 132. We look forward to seeing how God works in and through this group.
Women’s Hike
Saturday, June 3, 9:00 a.m.
Join women from Fourth to enjoy the outdoors at Riley’s Lock in Poolesville, MD, followed by lunch from the food vendors at Rocklands Farm. This will be an easy hike, and we encourage women of all fitness levels to attend. Meet at Fourth in the Upper Parking Lot at 9:00 a.m. or meet us at Riley’s Lock at 9:45 a.m. If interested in joining the group, please email womenshike@4thpres.org and designate if you plan to meet at Fourth or at Riley’s Lock.

Summer Bible Study

Middle and high school students, bring your friends for games and to hear God’s word.
Youth Summer Camp
June 21—25, $635, Offsite
Rising 6th-12th grade students, bring your friends and come to camp for a week of super games, skits, worship, water sports, and getting into God’s word. Registration is open; the cost is $635; get the early bird cost of $575 if you sign up before June 2. Scholarships are available; for information contact Rob Henneberg.
