Opportunities abound during the busy Christmas season to serve in Children’s Ministry.
- November 13 – Reception at the 9:30 hour for second graders receiving their Bibles that day
- November 27 – Advent Kit distribution as parents drive through the Upper Portico (before and after worship services)
- December 8 – Children’s Christmas Party, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
- December 24 – Family Christmas Eve Worship Service, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Drive-Through Collection & Food Drive | Saturday, November 12, Upper Portico, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Bring contributions of food, diapers, clothing (socks, underwear, shoes, and boots), and household items in brown paper bags with handles. Donated items go to ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Missions
International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church | Sunday, November 6
We invite you to pray for believers where Christians are facing persecution, especially in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and India. Christians are currently the most persecuted religious group in the world. Their biggest request is for prayer. Please take time to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Music Ministry
Fourth Orchestra
Join the Fourth Orchestra to participate in the Advent Carol Sing, November 27, 6:00 p.m. Adult and high school students with several years experience playing any orchestral instrument are welcome. Rehearsals will be November 9, 16, and 21 at 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Erin Jones.
High School Choir
Singers of all skill levels, grades 9-12, are invited to sing under the direction of Wyeth Duncan. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00 p.m., Room 131; we will sing periodically in the Sunday morning service. Registration is open.

Women’s Ministry
Christmas Dessert | Thursday, December 8, 7:30-9:00 p.m., Upper Room, $10
Invite your friends and hear author Susan Yates speak on, “Finding Peace in a Season of Uncertainty.” We will sing carols, decorate centerpieces, and enjoy some holiday fun. Registration is open.

Youth Ministry
High School Overtime | Friday, November 4, 8:00-11:00 p.m., Offsite
Once a month after football games, bring your friends and hang out at one of our open houses. We will be meeting at different homes throughout the fall; for location information contact Jesse Ritterpusch or Genna Repich.
High School Sunday Night Live (SNL) | November 6, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Room 007
Come to the evening service and then stay and spend an hour together with games, skits, and a devotional to start the school week. Our theme this week is “Birthday Party” SNL.
Wednesday Bible Studies | Wednesdays, through December 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Rooms 102, 007
Middle and high school students, come hear God’s word and reflect on Jesus’ teaching as we read through the Book of Matthew. Bring a Bible and notebook.
Parent Fellowship | Wednesdays, through December 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Room 200
Spend time with parents of other middle and high school students during the youth Bible Study. We will discuss the Book of Matthew also, providing a great opportunity for families to discuss together.
