Children’s Ministry

Opportunities abound during the busy Christmas season to serve in Children’s Ministry.
- November 27 – Advent Kit distribution at the Upper Portico, 12:15 p.m.
- December 9 – Children’s Christmas Party, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
- December 24 – Family Christmas Eve Worship Service, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Family Advent Kit
Families can purchase an Advent kit that includes a wreath, candle holder, set of traditional candles, and a copy of “The Wonders of His Love, Finding Jesus in Isaiah” by Champ Thornton, offering short daily devotions to guide your family through Advent. Come for a cup of hot chocolate at pickup on Sunday, November 27, 12:15 p.m., Upper Portico. Cost is $25; registration is open.

Mission DMV
Mission DMV Toy Drive
Sign up and purchase gifts for Mission DMV partners, “Operation Christmas Miracle” with Central Union Mission and YoungLives, to provide Christmas gifts for children of families in need. Stop by the table by the Lower Lot Entrance on Sundays, November 27, December 4 and 11. Deadline for drop off is December 11.

Missions
Thanksgiving Disaster Relief Fund
Fourth Church has given $10,000 to help with flood relief in Pakistan, $10,000 to Ukraine through our missionaries on the ground there, and $10,000 through World Relief this year. Because of the many needs, our emergency fund is getting very low. You will have the opportunity to give to this fund at the Thanksgiving Day Worship Service or online via our website and designate “Disaster Relief.”

Special Blessings Ministry

Moms of children/young adults with special needs meet online to provide mutual support, prayer, and encouragement for one another. We are currently discussing, “Parenting and Disabilities: Abiding in God’s Presence,” by Stephanie O. Hubach. All are welcome.

Women’s Ministry
Christmas Dessert | Thursday, December 8, 7:30-9:00 p.m., Upper Room, $10
Invite your friends and hear author Susan Yates speak on “Finding Peace in a Season of Uncertainty.” We will sing carols, decorate centerpieces, and enjoy some holiday fun. Additionally, through our partnership with Mission DMV and YoungLives (an organization that supports pregnant and parenting teens), there will be an opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for families in need. More details will be provided at the dessert. Registration is open.

What better way to start your day than to bring your friends to Thanksgiving TBC? Come before school and enjoy pancakes, games, and even fruit.
7th & 8th Grade Boys Camping Trip | November 18-19
This camping overnight will be an excellent opportunity for real Christ-centered brotherhood to take root. This short getaway will be the perfect time to talk about what it means to be a man of God. Contact Middle School Coordinator, Clay Stevens, for more information. Registration is open.
