Children’s Ministry

Memory Zone | Sunday mornings, Children’s Library
Children, 5th grade and younger, are invited to come to the Memory Zone to recite memory verses. Each week, volunteers are needed 15 minutes before and after Sunday school (9:15-9:30 a.m. and/or 10:35-10:50 a.m.) to hear little ones recite God’s word and distribute prizes. “40 Days for Life” Prayer Vigil
Pray with others from Fourth on a public sidewalk near an abortion facility in Bethesda (10401 Old Georgetown Rd./Wildwood Medical Center). Come for one or more hours on Tuesday morning, October 25, 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and/or Wednesday afternoon, October 26, 1:00-5:00 p.m., as we pray for the most vulnerable among us and for all who are affected by abortion. Many items have been left at the church and can be found at three locations: on the coat racks in the Upper Room hallway near the Kitchen, inside the Youth Entrance, and in the Front Office. Please reclaim your items.

Drive-Through Collection & Food Drive | Saturday, October 8, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Bring contributions of food, diapers, clothing (socks, underwear, shoes, and boots), and household items in brown paper bags with handles. Donated items go to ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Update on the South Sudan Seminary | Sunday, October 16, 12:15 p.m., Upper Room
Following his trip to South Sudan, Dr. Rob Norris will share an update on the Seminary. After 20 years of planning, praying, and setbacks, you will hear what God is doing there to enable classes at the Seminary to begin in January.
Volunteers Needed for English Class Students
Please consider serving as a conversation partner for one of our advanced English students. No experience is necessary and you can choose when and where to meet. Dads of children and/or adults with special needs meet online the second Saturday of each month to provide mutual support, prayer, and encouragement for one another. We are reading and discussing, “Parenting and Disabilities: Abiding in God’s Presence,” by Stephanie Hubach. All are welcome.

Youth Ministry
High School Overtime | Friday, Oct. 7, 8:00-11:00 p.m., Offsite
Once a month after football games, grab your friends and hangout at our open house held at a church member’s home. We’ll have pizza and drinks. Contact Jesse Ritterpusch or Genna Repich in the Youth Office for the location.
High School Sunday Night Live | October 9, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Room 007
Come to the evening service, and then hang out with friends for games, skits, and a devotional to start the school week.
Wednesday Bible Studies | Wednesdays, through December 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Rooms 102, 007
Middle and high school students, come hear God’s word and reflect on Jesus’ teaching as we read through the Book of Matthew. Bring a Bible and notebook.
Parent Fellowship | Wednesdays, through December 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Room 200
Spend time with parents of other middle and high school students during the youth Bible Study. We will also discuss the Book of Matthew, providing a great opportunity for families to discuss together.
