Adult Education
End-of-Summer Sunday School Class | Sunday, September 4, 9:30 a.m. hour, Upper Room
Come for the final special two-week Sunday school class taught by Dr. Robert Norris and Dr. Todd Smedley. “Sermons from Hell” will look at the marks of bad preaching.
Fall Adult Sunday School | September 11–December 11, 9:30 a.m.

Children’s Ministry
Parents, visit the Children’s Ministry webpage for full information on all our offerings for children on Sunday mornings.
Sunday School Hour
Sunday School and Nursery has resumed during the 9:30 a.m. hour. Pastors and staff will visit classes this week. Children should return to the classes they’ve attended this summer. Next Sunday, September 11, children will be “rising” to their new classes. Parents will receive more information.
Cherub and Children’s Church
On September 11, as children “rise” to their next grade, please note that Cherub Church is for 3 years-PreK and Children’s Church is for K-3rd grade. If you have questions about a child attending Cherub Church for the first time or a child “rising” to 4th grade and no longer attending Children’s Church, please contact us.

Drive-Through Collection & Food Drive | Saturday, September 10, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Bring contributions of food, diapers, clothing (socks, underwear, shoes, and boots), and household items in brown paper bags with handles. Donated items go to ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Presentation by Eric and Sue Takamoto | Sunday, September 11, 7:15 p.m., Upper Room
Eric and Sue Takamoto, our missionaries serving in Japan, are visiting Fourth for the first time in several years. We’ll learn about their work in Ishinomaki with men, women, and children who were deeply traumatized by the 2011 tsunami, which devastated their community. They will also share about their jewelry ministry, the Nozomi Project. No RSVP needed.

Women’s Ministry
Generation-to-Generation (G2G) Bible Study | Beginning the week of September 7
Registration for G2G Bible study is open; groups will be organized soon. Please note if you plan to attend G2G on Wednesday mornings this fall with an infant-preschooler, register as soon as possible to ensure there are enough childcare workers.
Circles | Monthly gatherings begin in September. Please visit 4thpres.org/women for meeting times, locations, and the books we’ll be studying over the year.

Youth Ministry
Parents Meeting | Sunday, September 11, 12:30 p.m., Room 007
Parents of youth, grades 6-12, are invited to hear about our fall calendar and plans for the youth ministry this school year. Lunch will be provided.
Middle and High School Sunday School | 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Join us Sunday mornings for fellowship, worship, and reading the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word. Middle school meets in Room 102; high school meets in Room 007.
High School Overtime | Friday, September 9, 8:00-11:00 p.m., Offsite
Once a month after football games, bring your friends and hang out at one of our open houses. We will be meeting at different homes throughout the fall; for location information email Noel Bradley.
High School Sunday Night Live (SNL) | September 11, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Room 007
Come to the evening service and then stay and spend an hour together with games, skits, and a devotional to start the school week.
Wednesday Bible Studies | Wednesdays, September 14-December 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Rooms 102, 007
Middle and high school students, come hear God’s Word and reflect on Jesus’ teaching as we read through the Book of Matthew. Bring a Bible and notebook.
