Children’s Ministry
Parents, please check in your children before classes at the computers at the Children’s Welcome Center on the first floor or the computers outside the Children’s Library on the second floor. Once your class or service concludes, please immediately pick up your children from Sunday School or Cherub/Children’s Church.

Nursery, infants-age 2, Room 133
Cherub Church, age 3-preK, Room 218 – Children are escorted by teachers from their classroom to Cherub Church for singing and teaching and back for crafts and activities; pick up in original classroom.
Children’s Church, K-3rd grade, Room 212 – Children sit with their parents in the service, go to the front when the pastor calls them forward for prayer, and are then escorted to their classrooms. If your child does not have a name tag, please go to the back to be assisted by a Children’s Ministry volunteer as your child goes forward. Please pick up your children in Room 212.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) | July 11-15, 9:00 a.m.-noon
Only two days left to register for a monumental summer experience. Kids will explore the vastness of God’s power and the depth of his love for each of them during this week of adventure celebrating God’s greatness! VBS is for children age 3 (toilet-trained) through rising 5th grade. Register today, $50/child; registration closes Friday, July 1. Volunteers are welcome as well. We desire every child attend VBS without concern for finances. Please contact Jean Bronson for a scholarship.

College Ministry
Weekly Bible Study | Thursdays, through August 4, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Offsite
Gather at a nearby Fourth family home for a midweek time of fellowship led by Laura and Jeremy Hashiguchi, Katie and Ryan Meyer, Liz Dicus and Grant Taylor and designed to promote fellowship around God’s Word. Email Dorothy Hartley for location information.
Romanian Christian Enterprises (RCE) Mission Trip | July 29-August 6, Romania
This summer’s mission trip with RCE led by Fourth member and RCE Board Member, Miller Carbaugh, is open to all college students. In addition to assisting with RCE’s disability ministry, this will allow support to refugees through the work of RCE in light of current events. Mission DMV
Drive-Through Collection Only | Saturday, July 9, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Upper Portico
This month we will collect only clothing and household items; no food will be collected. Bring contributions of diapers, clothing (socks, underwear, shoes, and boots), and household items in brown paper bags with handles. Donated items go to ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Music Ministry
Children’s Music Camp | Saturday, July 30, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Children of all skill levels, grades 2-8, spend the day learning and making music together; choose either a handbell or choral music track. Camp is free and lunch is included. Registration is open.
Summer Choir | Sundays, July 3 and August 7, 9:30 a.m.
Adult and high school singers, join the Sanctuary Choir the first Sunday of the month this summer. Rehearsal is at 9:30 a.m. in Room 144, followed by participation in the 11:00 service. Email Erin Jones for more information; advance notice you’re coming is helpful for seating, but not required.

Women’s Ministry
Book Clubs | Tuesdays, through July 26, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Rooms 130, 132, 142
You can still join any of our three book discussions meeting in person at church: Excerpts and Essays, Year 2, discussing Biblical perspectives on racial justice: historical to present day; Recovering Our Sanity: How the Fear of God Conquers the Fears that Divide Us by Michael Horton; and Everything Sad is Untrue (A True Story), by Daniel Nayeri. Youth Ministry
High School Operation Bethesda | Friday, July 1, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Lower Parking Lot
Bring your friends to the downtown Bethesda scavenger hunt that is a summer favorite for high schoolers. We’ll gather for ice cream after the hunt.
Middle School Bowling Night | Friday, July 1, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Lower Parking Lot
Invite your friends for a night of fun and fellowship at a local bowling alley. Contact Noel Bradley for more information.
Middle and High School Grade Sleepovers | Tuesday, July 5, 6:30 p.m., Lower Parking Lot
Bring your sleeping bag and pillow to Bible study, and afterward all grades will go to different homes for a sleepover.
Middle and High School Six Flags America | Friday, July 8, 9:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m., $35 plus money for food, Lower Parking Lot
Grades 6-12 come spend a day at Six Flags America with games, roller coasters, and the water park! Registration is required.
Summer Sewing Group | Wednesdays, July 6, 20, 27 and August 3, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
All 6th-12th graders, all skill levels, come learn basic sewing skills. Our first class we will discuss project options, practice sewing, and review a list of supplies. We will not meet July 13 during Vacation Bible School. Contact Noel Bradley if you are interested or have questions.
Beach Day | Friday, July 29, 7:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m., $35 plus money for food, Lower Parking Lot
Middle and high school youth are invited to spend a day of fun in the sun at Rehoboth Beach, DE. Registration is required. Students will travel by chartered bus.
Summer Fellowship @ 5 | Sundays, through July 31, 5:00 p.m., Room 007
Hang out before the evening service with the Summer Staff for food, fun, and fellowship. After the service, we will continue hanging out and enjoy dessert from the food truck. This weekly event is for middle and high school students.

Join us for Relevant Insights on Tuesdays (RIOT), a weekly Bible study for middle and high school led by our Summer Staff.
