Children’s Ministry

Parents, please check in your children before classes at the computers at the Children’s Welcome Center on the first floor or the computers outside the Children’s Library on the second floor. Face masks are optional for Sunday School, Cherub Church, and Children’s Church.

Nursery | Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services, infants-2 years old.

Sunday School | Classes during the 9:30 a.m. service for age 2 through 5th grade.

Cherub Church | Sundays, 11:00 a.m. service, age 2 to pre-kindergarten. Children begin in their classroom and are escorted by their teachers to Cherub Church for singing and teaching. They are escorted back to their classrooms for crafts and activities. Parents, please pick up your children in their classroom after the service.

Children’s Church | Sundays, 11:00 a.m. service, kindergarten to 3rd grade. Before the sermon, children will be invited forward for prayer, dismissed through the side door, and accompanied by their teachers to Children’s Church. Parents, please pick up your children from their classroom immediately after the service.

Congregational Care

GriefShare | Thursdays, through June 2, Online. Weekly support sessions for those grieving the loss of a loved one. To learn more and to register, see the GriefShare webpage at griefshare.org. For more information and the Zoom link, email griefshare@4thpres.org.

DivorceCare Support Group | Tuesdays, through April 5, 7:00 p.m., The Commons. This Bible-centered support group offers a non-judgmental place of hope and healing from the pain of separation or divorce. Coffee Ministry

Coffee is available in Halverson Hall between services. Volunteers are needed to set up and prepare coffee during the morning services. Various shifts are available to serve.

Men’s Ministry

Online Proverbs Study | Mondays, 8:00 p.m., led by Steve Liston and Richard Morris, via Zoom. Men of all ages are welcome.

Mission DMV Opportunities

Rockville Women’s Center | March 4, 7:30-8:30 a.m. To participate in First Friday Prayer on the phone, call 605-313-4415 and enter code 357470 followed by # (pound sign).

Drive-Through Collection & Food Drive | Saturday, March 12, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Bring contributions of food, diapers, clothing, and household items in brown paper bags with handles. Pickup empty Easter Eggs to fill with one piece of candy and return filled eggs on April 9. Donated items go to Fourth’s ministry partners and neighbors in the DMV.

Missions & Outreach

Missions Conference | “God’s Providential Care for his People”, March 25-30. Come meet some of Fourth’s missionaries at various gatherings throughout the conference including the Missions Banquet on Friday night. On Sunday, missionaries will attend Sunday activities and Wednesday night there will be a virtual missions fair for adults. See the Missions webpage for information.

Special Blessings

Sunday School |  Class during the 11:00 a.m. service, through April 10, Online. For all ages and parents, leaders guide the class through a 12-lesson unit on dependence from the seeJesus Bethesda series.

Young Women’s Fellowship | Tuesday, March 8, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Online. An opportunity for young women to gather and build friendships through conversation, music, and games. For ages 21 and up.

Women’s Ministry

Bible Studies | Our weekly Bible study, G2G, a study on II Corinthians, Knowing the Bible, is ongoing.  There are four options (in person and via Zoom) to gather. We conclude the week of March 21, to be followed by a six-week study on the I AM’s of Jesus.

Youth Ministry

Middle School Friday Night Club (FNC) | Friday, March 5, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Room 102. Students, in 6th-8th grade, invite your friends for a night of fun, food, games, and a message at Fourth. Weather permitting, we’ll be outside. Drop off and pickup in the Lower Parking Lot.

Middle and High School Bible Studies | Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Room 102. Students in 6th-12th grade, join our weekly Wednesday night Bible studies. After fun and fellowship, we will divide by grade/gender and study the book of Exodus. Drop-off and pickup in the Lower Parking Lot.

Virginia Middle School Girl’s Bible Study | Wednesdays, through May 4, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Come study the book of Exodus while meeting at a church member’s home.

Dinners for Youth Volunteer Leaders | Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. Help support our adult volunteers by providing dinner before they lead the Bible studies each week.
