The Lord’s Day, October 17

Dear Fourth Church,

If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

—Psalm 130:3-6. Verses 3 and 4 are part of this morning’s Congregational Prayer of Confession. We come before our God today with great hope and confidence in his “plentiful redemption” (verse 7).

Members of the Sanctuary Renewal Campaign Committee will be available in Halverson Hall today and every Sunday through November 14. Stop by if you have questions or to get another look at the floor plans and architectural renderings. You can also pick up Commitment Envelopes and a hard copy of the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about the Campaign.
