Midweek Devotional and Update

Dear Fourth Church Family,

Today we look at the high priestly prayer recorded in John 17 and are reminded of the heart of Jesus for his church; that she may be one. As we prepare for an eventual reopening, we will discover how timely a word Jesus’ prayer is for us in these days
Two notes:
  • Remember to join us for Congregational Prayer tonight at 5:30 p.m. Right after prayer, I will discuss the question “Why Are We Not Doing Online Communion?” live on Zoom at 6:00 p.m. Just stay on the call to take part.
  • Our food drive resumes this afternoon and Saturday. Details below.

Grace and Peace,

—Todd

Praise for Missions Contributions

We praise God and are thankful for the generous congregational giving of $24,016.42 to support a school in a poor area of Venezuela. Because of their current situation, parents cannot afford to pay full costs to run the school. This contribution will help pay teachers wages and purchase food for the children. It is part of the ministry of our missionary Xiomara. A video clip from Xiomara was shared at the Missions banquet in March.
