Easter Monday Resurrection Celebration
Monday, April 17, 8:30 am – 1 pm
Join us as we start the day spreading candy-filled eggs. Our guests from the Family Ministry of Central Union Mission will arrive by 10 am for an egg hunt and a message in Spanish by Pastor Guava. Central Union Mission – Monday, January 16, 2017 (Martin Luther King day)
We partnered with WGTS 91.9 FM radio and ministered to Central Union Mission, 65 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington DC. There are many ways to minister: serve breakfast, lunch or dinner, help with shelter upkeep, play board games with the residents, sandwich making, go on a prayer walk, attend a praise and worship service, or listen to a Word of inspiration.
Food & Friends
Minimum Age Requirements:
Food preparation: age 14 and over
Driving for delivery driver: must be 18 or accompanied by someone 18 or older & have valid drivers license
Food & Friends provides meals for individuals suffering from AIDS and other chronic illnesses. We will be providing six delivery drivers to pick-up meals from the Food & Friends warehouse and deliver them to clients.
Minimum Age: 12
Seabury Age-In-Place provides free yard work and house cleaning to help ease the workload of elderly adults(60+) in the D.C area. 20 volunteers will serve by assisting in the cleaning or yard work for residents.
Romanian Christian Enterprise
Minimum Age: None
A partnership with Fourth to raise funds to care for children in Romania.
A Wider Circle
Minimum Age: None
A Wider Circle collects, sorts, and gives away donations of clothes, furniture, electronics, etc. with the goal of ending poverty. 20 volunteers will serve by sorting incoming donations and loading items into clients vehicles.
