Middle School (Grades 6-8)
The vision of the middle school ministry at Fourth Presbyterian Church is to come alongside parents (Proverbs 1:8-9) in raising students who know the Gospel (Proverbs 1:5), believe it in their hearts (John 20:31), and, by grace, choose to live it out in their lives (Ephesians 2:10). We do so through the teaching of God’s word (Romans 10:17), the fellowship of the church (John 13:35), and discipleship of our students (2 Timothy 2:2).
The foundation of our ministry is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and our students are at the heart of all we do. Each of the events we run has at least one of these purposes at the core: teaching (Acts 2:42), discipleship (2 Timothy 2:2), fellowship (Galatians 6:10), or outreach (Jeremiah 1:7). We want everything we do to bring God glory (Revelation 19:7) and challenge our students to grow (Matthew 5:6) as they live life to the full – the way God intended (John 10:10).

Sundays — 9:30 am — Middle School/Room 102
Learn more about God, the Bible, and how it applies to our daily lives every Sunday morning. Kick off with skits, announcements, singing, and then hear from your staff about common questions about faith. After our large group time, we’ll split into small groups for discussion led by your teachers.
“The Rock” is our mid-week middle school Bible study. The name comes from Matthew 7 and our desire for students to be building their lives upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. Each week we will hang out, do a group game/activity, and then split into grade & gender Bible studies (ex. 7th grade guys) led by volunteer discipleship staffers.
Summer (Late May – August) — Tuesdays, 6:00 pm-8:15 pm — During the summer we meet in the lower parking lot and eat pizza! We play a game and then split into studies led by Summer staffers!
School Year (September – Early May) — Wednesdays, 6:30 pm-8:15 pm — Throughout the school year there is a whole church dinner in the upper room starting at 5:45pm. We encourage families to attend before our Bible studies begin at 6:30pm in the middle school room (102). We then hangout before splitting into studies led by discipleship staffers.
Friday Night Club(FNC)
Friday Night Club, or more commonly referred to as FNC, is our once a month outreach event. These are various events which are created to be an event which students can invite all of their friends to, Christian or not. Sometimes held at the church as a night of fun games or at other locations like bowling, laser tag, and broomball. Refer to the calendar for any details!
