The Young Adult Ministry of Fourth Presbyterian Church is designed to reach young adults with the gospel of Jesus Christ, incorporate them into our church, provide theologically rich Christian discipleship, and equip them to glorify God in all areas of life.
Towards this we strive in the following ways:
- Worshipping God together during the 9:30 Morning and 6pm Evening Service
- Studying the Scriptures together in Class on Sunday Mornings at 11am
- Fellowshipping with one another on Sundays and throughout the week
- Getting to know one another in Community Groups
- Meeting one-on-one
- Special Events
If you’re a post-baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral student, intern, living or working in the greater Washington Metropolitan area then we warmly welcome you. Come join us! For more information or to join our email list, please contact Rev. Tommy Myrick.
Young Adult Class
We are currently in a teaching series on the Westminster Confession of Faith, a survey of the core doctrines of the Christian Faith.
If only we were able to confess with one heart and one mind, in helpful detail, what we all believe as Christian members of Presbyterian and Reformed churches. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Well, in fact, we already can! Ministers in three various ecclesiastical contexts, from three different countries, completed The Westminster Confession of Faith in 1647 as a standard for theology, piety, and practice. What does it mean to be “Reformed”? Come find out as we study together.
Fore more information on the class including a teaching outline, handouts, and resources visit the Young Adult Class page.

The Young Adult Class is studying the Westminster Confession of Faith. We welcome all young adults in their 20’s and 30’s to join us for this foundational series in systematic theology. For more information see the Young Adults Class page.
During the Evening Worship Service this Spring we are enjoying sermons through the Book of Hebrews. Come join us for this refreshing hour of worship on Sundays at 6pm where young adults lead us in singing and Scripture reading.
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
